1. How do I register for the Jobtoberfest hiring event?

All registration is conducted through Eventbrite. The Eventbrite link will be posted on our website and all social media as soon as registration is open for this year’s event.

2. What is the last day to register for Jobtoberfest?

The last day to register for this year’s event will be announced after registration opens but is usually 2-3 weeks prior to Jobtoberfest.

3. I forgot to register and would still like to attend- what do I do?

Please contact the employer committee to address this at employers@sdjobtoberfest.org.

4. My company/agency does not allow access to Eventbrite (ie. Due to firewalls)- how do I register?

We are happy to assist you with registration over the phone. You can reach the employer committee at employers@sdjobtoberfest.org or a member of our executive committee at 619-737-2271 for assistance. We can register your company/organization for a table over the phone with a credit card.

5. My company/agency needs an invoice to pay for the event- how do I request get an invoice?

Register on Eventbrite and select “Pay by Invoice.” Please send a follow-up email to chair@sdjobtoberfest.org immediately afterwards to ensure that the invoice is sent to you as soon as possible.

6. What are the advantages of Sponsorship of the Jobtoberfest hiring event?

Sponsorship of Jobtoberfest benefits your business and the community! Your additional contribution allows us to provide the Kevin Starks Memorial Scholarship as well as organize one of the largest hiring events in San Diego.

Silver Sponsors ($500)- Your logo is printed on reusable bags given out at the event

Gold Sponsors ($1,000)- Your logo is printed on reusable bags given out at the event AND on all printed material distributed at Jobtoberfest

Corporate Sponsors ($5,000)- Your logo is printed on reusable bags given out at the event and all printed material distributed at Jobtoberfest AND your company would be a Co-Sponsor of Jobtoberfest, recognized on our website

7. How do I arrange accommodations for myself or someone who will represent my company/organization?

Sign language interpreters and sighted guides will be provided for job seekers at Jobtoberfest. For employers/resource providers, please inform Amy Vance at amy@sdjobtoberfest.org of any accommodations at least 2 weeks in advance of Jobtoberfest so that arrangements can be made.

8. How many flyers/handouts/collateral should I bring to the event?

Jobtoberfest is one of the largest, most attended hiring events in San Diego- we average around 1,500 attendees. Please keep this in mind so that all job-seekers are able to learn about available positions with your company.

9. What about parking at Jobtoberfest?

Free parking is available in Pan American Plaza area or surrounding lots. We request that you please park at surrounding lots or at the end of the parking lot by the Aerospace Museum. We’d like to save spaces in front of the building for Job Seekers.

10. What should I expect upon arrival at Jobtoberfest?

When you first arrive, please check in at the main entrance. You will be provided with your employer or resource packet which includes an agenda and lunch tickets. You will be shown to your table. Our opening program will take place while you enjoy a complimentary light breakfast and coffee. The opening program includes speakers, performers, and the presentation of the Kevin Starks Memorial Scholarship.

11. Is lunch provided for registered employers and resource providers?

At check-in, you will be provided with two lunch tickets with your Employer Packet. We will also have light breakfast and coffee available prior to the start of the Job Fair.

12. Should I stay for the whole event?

Yes! In order to speak to all qualified candidates and to give each job-seeker a chance to learn about opportunities with your company, we expect that you will stay for the entire hiring event.

13. Are there power outlets available for my table?

There are a limited number of tables with access to electrical outlets. Please indicate this request on your Eventbrite registration or email the employer committee at employers@sdjobtoberfest.org to let us know that you require an outlet.
